• Recently raised £3000 for the National Deaf Children’s Society by cycling 400 kilometres in 5 days across Cuba
  
  
• In November 2001 collected field data in Tsavo, Kenya for the Earthwatch Institute by tracking and identifying elephants and conducting wildlife surveys, where the aim was to generate economic benefit for the indigenous communities through support of wildlife conservation
